Read with your ears, nose, tongue and skin… not just your eyes

Do you read with your nose, can you smell the atmosphere and scent oozing from the page? Do your ears prick up at the imaginary sounds leaping out at you as you pass by a fast-moving train? Do you surprise yourself when reading about chocolate or fizzy sweets that your tongue begins to tingle and you start to salivate? Do you feel the caress of a lovers touch or the soft cotton wool of the fluffy clouds in the sky as you soar into the heavens in your imaginary spaceship?

Or do you just read with your eyes?

I am writing using the five senses not just the one – what are you doing today?
